Power of Positivity

Why I picked Power of Positivity for my second logo and slogan. I believe there is so much power in being positive. I see positivity as a privilege and a super power. Through some of my experiences I have learn that I GET TO do stuff, not HAVE TO. Get to is a positive and have to is a negative. It’s my privilege to be positive or negative. So I pick to be positive. It’s the Power of Positivity.

In Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor, “Afterward, I jokingly asked Salim why the children of Soweto were so weird. “They see schoolwork as a privilege,” he replied, “one that many of their parents did not have.” When I returned to Harvard two weeks later I saw students complaining about the very thing Soweto students saw as a privilege. I started to realize just how much our interpretation of reality changes our experience of that reality. The students who were so focused on the stress and pressure - the ones who saw learning as a chore - were missing out on all the opportunities right in front of them. But those who saw attending Harvard as a privilege seemed to shine even brighter. Almost unconsciously at first, and then with ever-increasing interest, I became fascinated with what caused those high potential individuals to develop a positive mindset to excel, especially in such a competitive environment. And likewise, what caused those who succumbed to pressure to fail - or stay stuck in a negative or neutral position.”

I’ve noticed from my adventures whatever vibrations I send out to people, negative or positive, I get back tenfold. I have been working on processing my emotions and thoughts and using Power of Positivity as a reminder to myself to respond thoughtfully because I don’t know what the other person is feeling or thinking. I don’t want to project my personal thoughts on them. In The Power of Intention by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, “What you may fail to see inside is a result of how you choose to process everything and everyone in your world. You project onto the world what you see inside, and you fail to project into the world what you fail to see inside. If you knew what you were an expression of the universal Spirit of intention, that’s what you’d see. You’d raise your energy level beyond any possibility of encumbrances to your connection to the power of intention. It is only discord acting within your own feelings that will ever deprive you of every good thing that life holds for you! If you understand this simple observation, you’ll curb interferences to intention.”

I realize one of my super powers is Power of Positivity. What super powers do you have? Keep on dancing!
